Display

Hi-res PDF’s should be supplied to either PDF X/1a settings or UK Pass4Press

The following application files are also accepted:

• InDesign CS1
• PhotoShop CS1
• Illustrator CS1

If you are supplying files as either Photoshop or Illustrator files please ensure that all images are 300dpi and the colour space is CMYK. All fonts used should also be supplied if possible, if not they must be embedded.

Advertorial

Construction News reserves the right to alter artwork and editorial content.

The files are to be supplied to the same specification as display.

Guidelines

• Please do not use a similar style sheet or layout to CN, ie, the banners, strap lines or coloured dots.
• Please use a different font/typeface to that used in CN editorial identical fonts will not be accepted.
• Place the word ‘Advertisement’ at centre top of artwork. The words ‘Advertorial’ or “Advertisement Feature’ will not be accepted.
• Preferably the artwork should have a thin border running around the entire piece.
• Photos should be contained within the artwork and not bleeding off the page.
• When quoting or using other company’s names for comparative or any other reasons, permission must be sought from the company in question.
• Advertorials must be submitted to the CN Production Department 2 weeks prior to publication date.
• PDF proofs will be submitted to the client for approval prior to print.

Product Cards

The files are to be supplied to the same specification as display.

There are two size options, one with Construction News branding and one without.

• Without branding – 150mm x 125mm with 3mm bleed
• With branding – 143mm x 105mm

Copy deadline:

There are 4 mailings throughout the calendar year

• Mailing 1 March – 18 Feb
• Mailing 2 June – 19 May
• Mailing 3 Sept – 18 Aug
• Mailing 4 Nov – 17 Oct

Supplements

The majority of the supplements are A4 in size, however this will be confirmed with the advertisement booking. The files are to be supplied to the same specification as display.
